Joint Beatz - Music Artist Marketing & Developement

In September 2019, social media marketer/website developer Steven Kahn and his business partner, live concert sound engineer Marvin Welkowitz (whose accomplishments include having toured with The Beach Boys, Carly Simon and other artists) formed a band to back a singer from Long Island, NY they had been working with, named Dana Simone.  The band consisted of Dave Weissman on lead guitar, Chris Milo on bass guitar, Mitch Weingart on keyboards and Saudy Familia on drums.  Mr. Kahn proceeded book this act to perform around local spots in NYC including Pianos, The Bitter End, and Arlene's Grocery.  

Mr. Kahn and Mr. Welkowitz soon became acquainted with two more talented, local (Long Island) performers named Stephanie Lombardo & Krisi Ardito.  Mr. Kahn proceeded to form the brand name "The DSK Experience" representing the combined entity of Dana Simone, Stephanie Lombardo & Krisi Ardito (hence, the "DSK" acronym), and then booked this outfit to perform a show with Eppy Epstein at the legendary My Father's Place, which at the time was located at the Roslyn Hotel in Roslyn, NY.   This show took place on March 5th, 2020, just before the COVID-pandemic took hold and shut down music venues (and pretty much everything else) all across the world.  The show opened with Krisi Ardito performing a mix of songs, some backed to tracks and others backed by the (above) band.  Next up was Stephanie Lombardo, who performed a mix of dance numbers to tracks (along with backing dancers Cameron Conte & Chris Milo) and a few songs singing and playing the keyboard along with her guitarist and drummer.  Closing the show was Dana Simone performing along with the (above) band.  The show was a rousing success and garnered additional press in the Long Island Herald & other publications.

After the COVID situation gradually improved, live concerts featuring this female performance trio (minus the full band but with the addition of Chris Milo as a solo act) resumed, including successful appearances at The Beach Bar Grill at The Blue Iguana in Sea Cliff, NY and Villa Sorrento Italian Restaurant in Saint James, NY.  

In October, 2020, Mr. Kahn decided to form a company named "Pop Forecast" representing the music artists he and Mr. Welkowitz were working with in various capacities, which in 2021 included the addition of hip-hop performer Enjetic (real name: Danny Rivera), also from Suffolk County, NY.  

In 2023, Mr. Kahn decided to rename his company "Joint Beatz," representing not only the music artists he worked with, but also his extensive work in the areas of music artist management, web design, social media marketing & promotion, digital distribution (through his label agreement with digital platform Vydia), legal affairs (including advice on areas including split sheet agreements, publishing agreements, work-for hire recording agreements, royalties & more).  In December 2023, Mr. Kahn booked a concert (billed as produced by "Joint Beatz") taking place December 30, 2023 at the Heaven Can Wait nightclub in the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, with a roster of performing artists including Aria Fenix & Stefano Manrique, Syd Lewis, Enjetic, Estephanie, Chowda, Krisi Ardito, Shotta Lohc, Carissa Muse, and LouLa SaV.
